@cwaters1822

While everyone's tax return is different from the next, If you file before February 15, you're owed a tax refund and you're claiming either the ACTC or EITC, your entire refund will be withheld until at least the February 15 deadline.

What is the PATH act and How May It Impact Your Taxes?

@@TiffanyL I appreciate that you took the time to respond. However, I’m well aware of the Path hold. My question was related to the WMR tool not updating to the PATH ACT message after I filed my return.

You can try to clear your browser's cache and delete cookies to see if that updates the tool. It may be pulling information from a time you previously visited the site.

Mine has yet to update and I filed on the 26th of January. Mine still says the same thing as yours and it’s Feb 14th now.

There are a few reasons why you may be getting your refund yet.  Under the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act, signed into law in December 2015, the IRS cannot issue refunds that include Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) before mid-February.
