We all know that the IRS doesn’t start accepting tax returns and what not until the 28th of this year. Well here is a fun fact, I just filed mine on the 24th, and mine was received and accepted on the 25th on this website and what they say is the IRS, all before tax season started. Has anyone figured out why the tax refund returns are being received and accepted before the official season starts? I am just curious to know.
I believe it was because of the shutdown. I had the same thing happen. I saw on the news they’re releasing refunds on the 28th.
That would be my guess. Glad I filed as early as I can. Hopefully in 7-21 days I have my refund.
