once you submit the tax return in TT, you can't....the IRS is supposed to set up a website to collect DD information ; I assume your urgency is the stimulus payment???

I would like to get my stemulis check direct deposit instead of a paper check. I wasn't able to put my direct deposit information when I filed my taxes, I didn't have the information in front of me . But last year I filed and had my money directl deposit and my information is still the same will I need to fill a direct deposit form to get my stimulis check direct deposit can they go back to 2018 and get my information if it's the same?

Ok so they can use 2018 bank information, how would they know if it's the same for 2019?

There is nothing that says the IRS will check, but if they send the payment to the 2018 banking information, and the account is no longer active, the bank will reject the debit. If the payment is rejected by the ban, the IRS will issue and mail a paper check.

The IRS is also launching "Get My Payment", a service to track your payment and allows some Taxpayers to update their banking information.

That site should be active next week.
