Filed/accepted my 2020 taxes in Feb. The IRS website shows not processed. I owe taxes. Filed as HoH not Jointly this year (divorce). Will I get my stimulus sent to me?

Filed jointly last year and received stimulus money in both our names. I want to make sure my stimulus is coming to me and does not involve my soon to be ex-wife. This caused a nightmare in mediation as the check had both our names on it and was delivered  to my address. I claimed HoH and one of our two children for 2020. I have no information on what she is or has filed. My returns were accepted however so no SSN rejections or issues were found.

First, check the IRS Get My Payment tool to see whether a payment has been or will be processed.

What we do not know is how quickly the IRS will update your stimulus information after your 2020 Federal 1040 tax return is filed, accepted and refund issued.  Or, after your spouse has filed.

This TurboTax Help states:

You don’t need to do anything to get your stimulus check. The IRS will determine eligibility based on your last tax return, either 2019 or 2020, and will likely send your payment to the bank account where your tax refund was deposited.

As part of the income tax filing, the IRS receives accurate banking information for all TurboTax filers who received a tax refund, which the IRS is able to use to quickly and effectively deposit stimulus payments.
