FILED 01/23 STILL PENDING BOTH FEDERAL AND TAX today 02/02 What the **bleep** is going on TT???????? ANYONE have the same prob? and got resolved?

the usual reason is that you claimed either the earned income credit or child tax credit which means the iRS won't process your return until at least 2/15. if you didn't claim those credits but got an e-mail saying your return was accepted only the government agencies can answer your question. once accepted Turbotax gets no updates 

hello thanks for answering. i didn't file neither of those you mentioned. and it is still pending. the IRS did not even received it yet. 

There could be a couple of reasons why you might be experiencing a delay:

1.  First, the status might be pending for security reasons. This may be a sign that someone is trying to use your identity to file a tax return.  This can take up to 72 hours, after which your return will then be forwarded to the IRS, or if applicable, rejected. If rejected, you can then correct the rejection issue and resubmit. Please see this FAQ for reference.
2.  Secondly, there could be a delay if your return has various refundable credits, such as the Earned Income Credit, Investment Credit, Energy Credits, or Business Credits. You may need to wait a few more days and check your filing status again. Please see this FAQ for additional information. Note: Both instances may be applicable. That is, you could have a hold for security reasons first. And additionally for verification of the refundable credits in your return. In this case, delays might extend beyond 72 hours.

Why do some refunds take longer than others?

Yup!!! And all the expert says that why pay crazy money too says “idk, it’s out of our hands and up the state and irs!!” They no nothing can’t do nothing. I won’t file with them next year it’s all a scam!! 

Turbo tax is a complete scam!!! We know nothing..it’s not up to us..let me text or email you the web website.. like we don’t already know how to use “where’s my refund” let us take 300$ for not helping you at all!!! And btw the 5 days early is new we just started it this year so we will refund you.. “sorry but idk”is all they say..should have gone with H&R Block!!
