Fed return file and accepted electronically but omitted a W2. I know to wait and filed an amendment return for Fed. Since State return was to be filed by mail and hasn't been filed yet. How can I add-in the W2 for a correct state return without corrupting the TT existing Fed file for a future Amended Fed return.

It looks like you are using TurboTax Desktop.  If so, you can do what you are asking.  Create a duplicate of your tax return.  Open your return, and click on "File" in the upper left hand corner.  From the drop down menu, click on "Save As...   Give your return a new name.  You can then add your W-2 and then print and mail your state return.  When it's time to amend, you will use the original file, not the newly save one.
