ERICA IS 24 AND FILES HER OWN TAXES. SHE IS NO LONGER A DEPENDANT. DO I NEED TO REMOVE HER INFORMATION FROM MY TAX RETURN THIS YEAR? IF SO, HOW?

Yes remove her from your tax return. Go to Personal Info and delete her as a dependent.

If she was age 24 in 2019 and had gross income of $4,200 or more in 2019 then no one can claim her as a dependent, regardless if she was a full time student or not.

If this is the situation then you cannot claim her as a dependent so there is no reason to enter her as a dependent on your 2019 tax return.

Thank you! I wasn't sure because the software filled in her previous information even though we didn't claim her last year! TurboTax is easier than figuring it all out yourself, but it seemed much more complicated this year in some parts. and it took longer even though we had less info to input. Maybe it's me?! Many Happy Returns 🙂
