Electronically Filed Form 1041 in March, Payment was to be made by direct debit. The last digit of acct. number was left off . How do I fix this so I can make payment?

I electronically filed Form 1041 in March 2024.  I left off the last digit of the banks account number.  The routing number was correct.  Payment via direct debit was to be made on March 31, but it has not occurred, I assume because of the missing number.  What is the best/easiest to fix this and pay the IRS?  Thanks

There's no way to fix the incorrect account number. It's now two months since your direct debit date. By now you should have gotten a notice or bill from the IRS. I suggest that you call the IRS at 800-829-1040 and ask them what the status is and how much you now owe. They will also be able to tell you what options you have to make the payment.
