E-file

Is it possible for TurboTax to transmit your return to the IRS, then the IRS accepts that return and then has no record of it?

Yes----we have heard that the IRS refund site is acting up sometimes this year.   It is also possible that you are using the wrong information when you try to use the site.

How long ago was your e-file accepted?

You may need to be more patient with a system that is overwhelmed, and give some more time for the IRS to begin processing the millions or returns they have just begun to accept.

Sometimes people get confused by the “summary” given by TurboTax and use the wrong amount for the federal refund.  Make sure you are only using the federal refund amount, and not an amount that combined your federal and state refunds.

Your federal refund amount is on line 34 of your Form 1040

@xmasbaby0  Accepted on February 10. No movement on WMR or the transcripts-still says as of February 22,2021. All the information I enter is accurate

Try this

To check on regular tax refund status via automated phone, call 800-829-1954. (This line has no information on Economic Impact Payments.)

So-you’re saying it IS possible for the irs to lose an e-filed tax return? Even though there is proof of them accepting it to begin with?
