E-file of amended return for 2022?

Turbotax desktop keeps prompting me to print out and mail in my amended return for 2022. The fine print offered a way to bypass this but then when I tried to file electronically it wouldn't except a signing date that was beyond 2023. I filed my original return through TurboTax. The IRS says it allows amended returns to be filed electronically. Why does TurboTax seem to not have this capability?

This is TurboTax’s policy. 

Our e-filing window for non-corporate and non-partnership returns goes from January to mid-October of the calendar year that immediately follows the tax year. For example, tax year 2022 returns could be e-filed from January 2023 through October 2023

You can't e-file your 2022 amendment in TurboTax.  You will have to print and mail it.
