During my e-file, turbotax realized that I was eligible for both stimulus checks ($1200 + $600). The $1800 in stimulus checks was added to my "federal refund". Will I receive this portion of my refund earlier?

If the IRS just needs to know that I am not in fact a dependent, then shouldn't the stimulus money be given to me before my tax returns are even looked at? I am not sure how long it will take them, but it is not a tax return.

Sorry if this question is a bit confusing, but I could seriously use $1800 right now!

The Recovery Rebate Credit is authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and the COVID-related Tax Relief Act. It is a tax credit against your 2020 income tax.

Your tax return needs to complete processing in order for your refund to be issued.

You should expect a full payment, there are no provisions to make interim payments as your return is processed.
