does turbo tax provide an estimated refund date immediately after you file your taxes?

What I'm trying to discover is if I missed seeing an anticipated estimated refund date because 12 days after filing and 'accepted' it's now showing estimated refund date whereas hadnt noticed this previously.  is that something I just must have overlooked or, does turbo tax show this information after so many days have passed since filing and acceptance?

TurboTax does not receive updates from the IRS once they have accepted your return. As your return moves through the system, the status of it will be updated accordingly.

  • The only way to know when your refund will be released is to use the IRS Where's My Refund tool.
  • The IRS Where's My Refund? lookup service provides a specific, personalized date for your tax refund.
  • The TurboTax Refund Tracker projects an estimated date range on when you can expect your refund.

Additionally, the following link provides helpful information on estimated refund due dates based on the date you filed:

If your return was accepted 21 days ago or longer and you have not received an update via the Where's My Refund tool, you can follow the instructions in the following FAQ to contact the IRS for further assistance.
