Does the IRS confirm payments with letter?

Hello!

I had gotten a letter from the IRS about a balance that I owed; Letter Cp2000.

I made a full payment online but I wanted to know if they will send me a letter stating they got my payment or am I just suppose to go based off of the confirmation, and the fact that the money was taken from my account?

The CP2000 is a legitimate IRS letter number,  If you got a confirmation, then you are probably good to go.  But if you want to confirm, I would call them.  The problem is the wait times this time of year.  IRS Phone Assistance   Good Luck!
