Does it make a difference in my return if I add auto property taxes to my state return? I forgot to do it, and it was over 200.00.

My state as a maximum off $200.00 for auto property tax and I never saw where to put in on my state return.  I paid over $400.00 in car property tax.  Will my refund change if I amend my return?

State and local taxes (sales, income, real estate and personal property taxes) are not deductible on your state tax return.

(Some states offer "homestead property" tax breaks, but they do not apply to auto property taxes).
