Does anyone know when I should expect my refund if I claimed the EIC and CTC but also opted to have receive my refund 5 days early?

Yes, there is a delay in certain refunds that is impacting many taxpayers, but this will not impact the 5 days early option. Taxpayers that claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and/or the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) are experiencing delays in their refunds. ‌This is because the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes Act (PATH Act) prevents the IRS from issuing early refunds on any tax return that claims the EITC and/or ACTC.‌ It is anticipated that by February 22, the IRS’s Where’s My Refund tool will be updated.

If you paid for the 5 days early service, you will receive it. ‌If your federal refund is deposited into your selected bank account less than 5 days before the IRS refund settlement date (the date it would have arrived if sent from the IRS directly), then you will not pay the 5 days early fee.
