Does anyone know how to get an update on refund status other than the IRS Refund Tracker?

Federal tax refund information can only be accessed via the IRS website here - https://www.irs.gov/refunds

 

TurboTax gets no information whatsoever from the IRS after you file your tax return.   Only the IRS is in control and you need to seek information from the IRS.

 

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

When did you file?  If you efiled was your return Accepted?  You can check your efile status here     https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/   

 

When you efile you get back 2 emails.  The first email only confirms the transmission.  The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.
