Why do you need to put in direct deposit info if you are not getting a refund?  Or do you mean direct debit  to pay your taxes directly from your bank account?  You can do that right on the IRS website.

If you are not receiving  refund why are you trying to add banking information?   The software does not let you add banking information for no reason.    You cannot add or change banking information after you e-file.
