Do I Still Need to Mail Payment Voucher and Additional Documents to Georgia After Amending My Tax Return?

Hi,

I am a Georgia resident, and I amended my tax return using TurboTax.
I recently amended my return and made the payment using Direct Payment, which was successfully processed. Since I have already paid the amount owed, do I still need to mail a Payment Voucher and any additional documents to the Georgia Department of Revenue? Or is my tax filing process complete since my amended return has been accepted?

Thanks for your help in advance!

You don't need to do anything further, since your amended return has been accepted and you paid the tax due.

If you only filed a federal amended tax return, Form 1040-X, and paid the federal taxes owed on the IRS website, did you also amend the Georgia tax return?

The Georgia amended tax return is Georgia Form 500-X.

I amended both my federal and Georgia tax returns. I owed additional taxes, so I made the payment using Direct Payment, and both my amended returns have been accepted.

Direct Pay is for paying federal taxes owed on the IRS payment website - https://www.irs.gov/payments

Did you have Georgia taxes owed also?  If so, how did you pay those taxes?

When I amended my return through TurboTax, at the final step, there was a question: "How would you like to pay your state taxes?" I selected "Direct debit from my bank account," and the amount I owed was automatically withdrawn from my bank account.

So, the entire process, including the amendment and payment, was completed through TurboTax, not at the IRS website.
