Do I need to file an amend if I accidentally left out a 1099-Q form?

My dad just informed me that I have to claim the 1099-Q. I already submitted my return and it was accepted. Should I be worried about leaving this information out?

Yes, if the distribution is taxable, you'll need to file an amended return and claim that income.

In TurboTax, your parents (if they claim you) enter the 1099-Q and 1098-T into their TurboTax program. The program makes the calculations. If any of the distribution is taxable, the person listed on the 1099-Q claims that income. If you were issued the 1099-Q, you claim the income. The TurboTax program tells THEM how much YOU need to claim.
