If you have a mortgage you will need Form 1098 to report the mortgage interest you paid.  Form 1098 is provided by your mortgage holder so if your bank is not your mortgage holder you will not get a Form 1098 from your bank.

Form 1099-INT is to report interest you received on your tax return.
