Do I need to amend my (pending) 2019 tax return?

I filed my 2019 taxes yesterday. Then I realized that I hadn't claimed, or paid, my supplemental motor vehicle tax. I made sure to pay it today ($259.06). Do I need to amend my taxes to add my car tax?? And if so, how??

What state?  Many states do not base the vehicle registration fees on the value of the vehicle.  That property tax is what is entered for the registration fee on a tax return.

States with Deductible Vehicle Fees

Alabama
Arizona
Arkansas
California
Colorado
Iowa
Indiana
Kentucky
Louisiana
Massachusetts
Michigan
Minnesota
Mississippi
Missouri
Montana
Nebraska
Nevada
New Hampshire
South Carolina
Washington

If you paid it today in 2020 then you deduct it on the 2020 return next year.
