Do I need to amend my 2021 & 2022 tax return if had no income but forgot had matured savings bonds for total of $240 interest?

Did you file 2021 & 2022 with no income?  Why did you file?  If there was a reason you needed to file then you probably need to amend and add the interest.

If that is the total amount of interest received then there is no need to file an amended return.  If you had no income of any kind in 2021 or in 2022 other than that amount of interest,  then there was no need to file a tax return.

 

Unless you had healthcare insurance through one of the state Marketplace Exchanges or from healthcare.gov and received a Form 1095-A then you would have to file.

Yes I filed just to have a record for the government but I had no income and was below the standard Deduction for that year obviously since had no income.  Thank you for your response.
