Do I have to set up direct deposit of my personal checks in order to recieve the refund money through credit karma?

Do you want your refund to go to your checking account or do you want it to go onto a Credit Karma card?  

I want it to be on my credit karma card. But it is making me set up my work paychecks before I can finish?
