deactivated by Transferwise during my tax refund deposit!

Hi there I've done my tax refund 1 month ago and it is sent by IRS to my friends Trasnferwise account and he get his tax refund a month ago too with no problem . Yesterday we check the acoount and it says your transfer is proccessing and today they deactived his account and I couldn't get my tax refund What should I do know ? They usually sent back the transfer but I am not sure What I'm gonna do if they sent this IRS

The bank will return the federal tax refund to the IRS since the account is closed.  The IRS will mail a refund check to the address you entered on your tax return.

Technically my account is not closed it is deactivated right

You would need to contact the bank to see if there is a difference between deactivated and closed when receiving a direct deposit.

Furthermore, even if the account could receive direct deposits, if your name is not on the account the bank will reject the direct deposit from the IRS.
