10 weeks is probably an exaggeration so you don't call again. by then you'll probably have your refund.
if you claimed certain credits the refund likely won't be released until early March (due to new tax laws to prevent the IRS from being defrauded) which means you're likely to have it in a week or so. no guarantees. if there were issues with the return the agent would most likely have told you so.
