Conceded to an audit. Upon amending my State, the amount owed on Fed is $500 less. Am I still able to file the amendment after conceding?

I conceded to a Federal Audit, they requested that I not file and amendment. The state hasn't caught the error yet so before I get audited by them I went to file and amendment for the State. When I re-ran the numbers in Turbo tax the Federal came to $500 less than what the Feds said I owed. Can I still refile the amendment for the Feds after conceding?

No, but you may be able to request an audit reconsideration. An audit reconsideration is a process that reopens your Internal Revenue Service) IRS audit.

Click here for information about an audit reconsideration from the Taxpayer Advocate Service. The Taxpayer Advocate Service is your voice at the IRS.

Do you know why there is a $500 in tax? If not, you should compare the copy of your federal tax return that shows $500 less tax to the report that Internal Revenue Service(IRS) has given you to find out what is causing the $500 difference.

Yes, the amount changes when I run the education optimizer in Turbo tax.
