Can’t get 2023 taxes to open up after I download it. Purchased the software to be able to access last years return. Can’t see it nor edit it to print and mail file

What file did you download? The pdf or the data file ending in .tax2023?   Did you get the 2023 program installed and Activated with the License Code?   

Oh it’s probably this.   

After you get the program installed the first thing to do before you open your tax return is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to File-New Tax Return).

 

Then go to FILE -Open and find your return.
