Can someone help me look over my son's taxes. I think he filed wrong. He made $29,000 last year and he owes $604 in Federal. That seems wrong. Help???

did he pay in if he made 29000 filed single he should have paid it in his check unless he claimed to many !single people should alway claim 0 and not them self . 

The amount of tax that your son owes is not based on how much he earned. The amount he owes is the tax on his $29,000 of income minus the tax that was withheld from his pay.

He can use the Tax Withholding Estimator on the IRS web site to figure out how to adjust his withholding so that he will not owe tax next year.
