Can I use Turbotax to file a prior year's state return?

Please clarify your question.

  • Did you already file the prior year return?
  • Was it on TurboTax?
  • Do you have the software it was originally filed on?

Please contact us again to provide some additional details.

If you did not originally file with TurboTax it would be difficult to make a transition.

If you used TT to prepare that past year's federal return you can use the desktop download to prepare a state return---you need a full PC or Mac.    Or you can get the forms from the state to prepare by hand.

I filed my 2023 federal return using the online version of Turbotax and recently realized that I'm owed a refund for Oregon taxes I paid as a nonresident.

I was hoping to use Turbotax to transfer the relevant data into the Oregon form - rather than typing it in from scratch.
