I had a FSA for daycare taken out of my paycheck in 2017 but then my daughter's mother claimed our daughter that year. I still thought since I paid all the daycare it would be okay. My w2 mistakenly did not have the FSA in Box 10. I filed a 1040 EZ. Now I realize I need to file an amended 1040 to claim that daycare FSA as income. I asked my payroll for an updated W2 a month ago. She said it's very difficult to correct a W2 from that long ago Can I file an amended return without a corrected W2?
