Can I print out everything that I have entered into desktop Turbotax? I want to "tick and tie" all of my entries to the source docs. How do tax pros do this?

I am using desktop Turbotax. This is for quality control, and I want to retain a paper trail linking my entries to the source records. A printout that has all the numbers INPUT into Turbotax would be ideal.

You can switch to Forms Mode and print everything out or just the forms and worksheets you want.  All the forms you entered like W2 and 1099 will have a separate page in addition to the actual 1040 and schedules.

Thank you. How do I print those forms out? When I open a form, and select {FILE} {PRINT} it brings up a window asking me if I want to print my Federal and/or state tax returns.

Also, I see that the "Tax Data" icon at the top of desktop Turbotax opens up a window that seems to have every external input along with a description of how it was entered ("user input," "import," or "transfer").

That would work for my purpose, if only I could print it out. But I do not see any way of printing it.

Surely tax accountants tick and tie their work, leaving a paper trail cross referencing to sources. Or at least some of the old timers would want to do that. How do you guys do it?

You taught me something today.  I never noticed the Tax Data before.  Where do you see a tax data icon?  Are you on Windows or Mac?  I'm on Windows.  I found Tax Data under Tools-My Tax Data.

I guess you would have to do screen shots to print it.

I am using the Mac version. The "Tax Data" appears at the center of the menu bar at the top of the screen in my version of the software.
