You can complete your estimated tax vouchers by following these steps when preparing your return.

  1. Navigate to the 1040-ES section:
    • TurboTax Online/Mobile: Go to 1040-ES.
    • TurboTax Desktop: Search for 1040-es and select the Jump to link.
  2. Answer YES to the question Do you want to change your W-4 withholdings for 2025?
  3. Answer any questions until you get to the Print Vouchers? screen.
  4. Answer Yes and we'll include your 1040-ES payment vouchers when you print a copy of your return later.

If you need to prepare the estimated tax vouchers for 2025 after completing your 2024 tax return, then you print the forms to complete by hand here

The big giant BUT to this....is DO NOT change any numbers in the main section of your "Online" tax return, if you are using the browser-based "Online" software.

IF you do so using the Online software  (i.e. change the main numbers in the other sections), it will destroy what you've already filed, and make the 2024 tax file original unrecoverable...AND potentially screw up next year's filing.

_______________

Only the "Desktop" software, fully installed on your MAC or Windows desktop computer, allows you to create a "What-If" tax projections for the next year using different scenarios......or even create a new tax file using next year's expected numbers (but using current tax laws).

To do a full projection using the "Online" browser-based software, you would have to create an entirely new account, and re-enter everything.  But you wouldn't be able to print the results without paying for the software again.
