Can I cancel my state tax payment after my return has been accepted? I have reached out to my state contact and they are advising I have to cancel with Turbo Tax.

I found through the Turbo Tax help that once my state return has been accepted I can't cancel the auto withdraw that I scheduled through them and to contact my state tax agency directly. I then contacted my stat tax agency and they said NMTRD is unable to cancel your payment, because you didn't elect the withdrawal method with us directly from us.
I need to see about splitting up the payment instead of one big chunk coming out on 4/1/23. Has anyone else had this issue and were you able to get it resolved?

No, you would not be able to split the payments. If you’ve already filed your federal taxes with TurboTax you would have to cancel your payment and make other payment arrangements with the IRS.

Federal tax direct debit payments can be canceled up to two business days prior to the debit date. To cancel, call the U.S. Treasury Financial Agent at 888-353-4537. Then, to schedule a new payment, go to the IRS Direct Pay site.
