Blunder - used my 2018 W2 and Efiled for 2021 second time

Hi everyone, I have a one off situation - I had filed my 2021 taxes in Feb 2022…but 2018 taxes were still pending. I knew that the last year I could file 2018 taxes was 2022(april) and shared my info with a preparer. All documents shared were from 2018 but he efiled for 2021 again using my 2018 documents. My correct 2021 taxes were already refunded in 2022 Feb. I have no idea how to fix this and the preparer is some idiot whom I should never have trusted

forget about the second 2021 return. there's nothing you can do until the IRS does something with the second return like reject it - then nothing to do.   if you are due taxes back from 2018, where I am it is past midnight on 4/15. the IRS will no longer process a refund for 2018. if you owe, there is no time limit for filing an amended return.

Did you e-File in February?

It is not possible to e-File twice with the same SS#.
