Did you use the Refund Processing Service to pay your TurboTax fees? If so, a temporary bank account has to be opened with the 3rd party bank affiliated with the Refund Processing Service so that they can facilitate issuing your refund and issuing fees to TurboTax. The bank numbers represented on your return may be that of the bank affiliated with the Refund Processing Service.

If you did not use the Refund Processing Service to pay your TurboTax fees, incorrect information may have been entered. More than likely the deposit will be rejected and the IRS will send you a check in the mail to the address listed on your return.

If a significant amount of time has passed and your refund has still not been returned to the IRS, you can file Form 3911Taxpayer Statement Regarding Refund to request a trace on the refund with the IRS. This usually takes 90 days to complete.
