Business is for partnerships (Form 1065), corporations (Form 1120 or 1120S), and estates and trusts (Form 1041). A file created by TurboTax Business cannot be opened with TurboTax Home & Business, and a file created by TurboTax Home & Business cannot be opened by TurboTax Business.
Is the file name extension .tax2010? Are you opening it with the 2010 TurboTax software? You can only open a TurboTax data file with the software for that year.
Yes, the extension is .tax2010. I did see that I bought "TurboTax Business 2010" back in 2011 when I filed. Now I have "TurboTax Home and Business 2010". Would that make a difference?
