Amendment software wants me to pay for states again. No change to states needed

Hi, I downloaded the desktop amendment software, as the online version wouldn't let me change federal. In 2013 I filed in 2 states, and the desktop software wants me to pay for the second state again. Is there a way to sidestep that and go directly to the federal amendment process? I don't need to make changes to that state, only to federal.

Yes, in your Federal return go to Other Tax Situations > Other Tax Forms > Amend a Return.

 

In the interview, you'll be able to indicate that you don't want to amend your state return.

 

You could also delete the second state.  Here's How to Delete a State in TurboTax Desktop.
