Amending 2023 Tax Return as Independent Student

I did not receive tax breaks as a student in 2023 as I unintentionally selected myself as a dependent. I Graduated university spring 2023 and should be eligible for an education break. How can I make this change in and amendment in TurboTax? I cannot find the location to change my filing status to independent.

If you were eligible to be claimed as a dependent you are required to enter on your tax return that you can be claimed as a dependent, even if no one actually claimed you as a dependent.

Was this your situation in 2023?  Were you under the age of 24 in 2023 and a full time student?  If so, did you provide over one-half of your own support?  Rent, clothing, food, transportation, insurance, etc.?
