Amended tax returns for the past two years, how would I find out status on the amends?

A 1040X cannot be e-filed. It must be printed and mailed. It will take about 2-4 months for the IRS to process an amended return.

Three weeks after you've mailed your amended returns you can start tracking its status using the IRS "Where's My Amended Return?" tool or by calling their automated number 1-866-464-2050.

Do keep in mind, it can take 12-16 weeks for your amended returns to be processed.
