amended return

I filed an amended form because the $5000 I deducted for 2018 was applied by the bank to 2019.  The amount on the amended form shows $5040.  Why the difference.

Without knowing more details on the $5000, seeing the original return, and seeing the amended return, we cannot accurately diagnose this issue in this public forum. However, you can always request an Offline Review from a tax expert by clicking Live Tax Advice in the upper-right corner of your TurboTax window. The expert will be able to review your actual forms that way.
