Amended 2018 return 6mo ago & have not heard anything. Added 2 dependents my fiancé’s sons whom I HAVE souly supported for 2+ years n same household

Did you MAIL it?  Amended returns can only be mailed.  It can take them 16 weeks for the IRS to process them.  And they only mail checks for refunds.   After 3 weeks you can track it here,
