Amend Tax Return

Hello, 

 

I have to amend my tax return due to the missing paperwork not being completed( Charitable DEductions). Can I amend it after the 15th of February? How does the process work for amending? Can I amend it before it is mailed or sent electronically before I'm supposed to receive it on the 26th?

It is too soon to amend a 2024 tax return.   You have to wait until it has been fully processed by the IRS.  Sometimes the IRS catches and corrects mistakes you made.   And the Form 1040X you will need is not available until mid-February.  Amending too soon can cause confusion and long delays.
