amend my taxes

I’ve already got my tax return back and now I got a 1099G form in the mail. What do I do? Should I wait till next year to amend my taxes or can I file it this year

You should go ahead and amend your return.  I don't see any reason to wait until next year.  To amend your current year return in TurboTax:  How do I amend my federal tax return for this year?
