Amend 8606 - Incorrect amount on line 1

Hello,

I reported the wrong amount in line 1 on Form 8606 for 2022.

My federal tax return and state returns (MI, MA) were filed electronically.

Once I amend Form 8606, do I resubmit the federal tax return and state returns again electronically? If not, what should I do?

TurboTax now supports e-File of the prior year amendment,

so after e-File opens in January you should be able to e-File 2022 1040-X.

That may not work for your amended state tax return.
