Amend 2020 return already filed

I filed my 2020 federal return before Congress changed the tax laws regarding taxability of unemployment pay.  I owed $3601 and paid it.  When the unemployment pay is no longer taxable the IRS owes me $838.  Do I file an amended return or will the IRS correct this for me and send me a check for the $838?

The IRS should adjust it for you.  But they are still figuring it out.
