After the fact child credit info will delay my refund but it would have been nice to know about this delay of the IRS while filing so I wouldn't have had to pay extra.

I received this info after I filed with TurboTax when I checked on the status of my refund. This question does not need to be answered but I wouldn't have rushed to get done, that is why I use TurboTax, it is always fast, just think of it as advice on making a better customer product. Or maybe tell the IRS to make the information more public. Thank you.

This was well publicized and was all over the news and how it would affect some tax refunds.   It is public knowledge.  I saw it on the TV news many times and in news papers and magazines.    It is also publicized on the IRS website.  Or Google for "PATH Act" and get about 175,000 hits.

Information is provided on the IRS website and was passed into law last year.
