After paying and previewing forms in TT, can you still modify them in federal and state sections?

Yes--you can still make changes or corrections BEFORE you e-file.   Once you e-file, you are stuck waiting to see if the return has been accepted; if it is accepted, you have to wait until it has been processed and then amend to make any changes.
