If I had to do an amend, how long would it take for the IRS to Accept my amend?

Please see How do I track my amend status? for instructions on tracking your amended return. Please note it can take up to 16 weeks for the IRS to process your amended return. If there are any changes in your return, the IRS will send an explanatory letter.
