Activation of 2016-2018 TurboTax

Not sure where to turn to...So any pointer from anyone would be appreciated.

I changed PC, so I need to re-install all TurboTax products.  Re-installation of 2019-2023 was without issue, but 2016-2018 would not re-install. I would be given a screen with an installation key (which I entered from the CD jacket) a Computer Key and a phone number to call.  The call to the indicated phone number ([phone number removed]) led to an automated message indicating that support is not longer provided at that number and that the caller is invited to consult the web site....

Thank you.

You shouldn’t have trouble installing 2018 and prior.  The License Code didn’t start until 2019.   But  if you do get 2018 and prior installed you won’t be able to update it or download any state programs.  Are you sure 2019 activated ok?  They only support the last 3 years 2021, 2022 and 2023.   When did you install 2019 & 2020 on the new computer?

So you should save all your returns to a pdf file with all the worksheets.   Open each year and save them now if you haven’t already.

Hello VolvoGirl,

Thank you for the information.  I think my post got mixed-up between American and Canadian boards perhaps (with apologies)...I am in Canada and I had key codes since 2001 on CD jackets.  2019-2023 activated perfectly when installed in the last week.  TurboTax Susan (moderator) provided a support number which did not fix the issued for 2018 and prior installs, unfortunately.

Thank you for the advice about PDFs...it is noted.
