8915E-T vs 8915-F

I E-File I keep being told that 8915-E for second part of Covid Disaster supposed to be used for 2020. I was asked the questions but form is not showing that it was sent to the IRS. You can see it in tools but the form didn't attach for sending ! Friends are now telling now that 8915- F was supposed to be used instead this has been so confusing I'm paying for service that  didn't include either form! I can't get a clear understanding from Turbo why it wasn't sent

Did you enter the Retirement section and answer the required questions?

The section is now available. Follow these steps to report any further tax to be paid:

  1. Login to  TurboTax
  2. Click on the Search box on the top and type “1099-R”
  3. Click on “Jump to 1099-R”
  4. If you do not have any 2021 1099-R answer "No" to "Did you get a 1099-R in 2021?"
  5. Answer "Yes" to the "Have you ever taken a disaster distribution before 2021?" screen.

You will be guided through the screens.

IRS Form 8915-F is used in to report the second disaster distribution in the 2021 Federal 1040 tax return.  Is that what you are asking?

You may view the form at Tax Tools / Print Center / Print, save or preview this year's return / Include government and TurboTax worksheets.

IRS Form 8915-E was used in to report the first disaster distribution in the 2020 Federal 1040 tax return.

My distribution was from 2020 not 2021. In 2021 I used 8915E. When I filed my taxes for 2022 Turbo taxes said to revist, the form was not available. I was told it would be available March 24,2022 I answered the questions submitted my taxes but form is not showing it forwarded to the IRS! Turbo CS and I went through everything all forms we could see that sent but 8915E. 2021 when I printed my return everything printed, we seen all the forms sent. 2021 tax forms not showing 8915 E-T it was forwarded with other tax forms! Nor did it print for my copies! Turbo claim I may have to amend afterwards but they claim they can see 8915E-T in tools but don't know why it didn't get sent!! Just asking anyone had issues with this form

@LatonyaHillSmith There will not be a Form 8915-E included with the 2021 tax return because the 8915-E was only used for tax year 2020.

If you had a disaster distribution in 2020, 2019 or 2018 or you had a Coronavirus-related distribution in 2020 and selected to have that distribution spread over three years the there would have been a Form 8915-F included with the 2021 tax return.
